AUREUS-Volga Cattery is a small in-home establishment located in Ulyanovsk, central Russia, on the bank of the Great Volga-River. Cats and lines have been selectively chosen to contribute their unique and exceptional qualities to our breeding program! Our cats are bred for health, type and temperament, always raised as members of our family. At AUREUS we are dedicated to breeding healthy and happy Kurilian Bobtails that make affectionate companions as well as exceptional competitors at a show ring. Our Bobtails are by no means kept in cages, but live as a part of the family. This ensures the cats' calm attitude and loyalty to people whom we bring them up to utterly trust. The only separation we stick to is between males and females, and females with young kittens. Since birth, Bobtail kittens enjoy love and undivided attention. Kurilian Bobtails is a fancy breed to love and to be loved by them! A concise but rather exact description of the breed can be found on The International Cat Association (TICA) website. Joyous and playful, devoted to a degree of being a bit proprietary and highly intelligent, more trainable than any other breed this cat is certain to become an equal-footing family member. One'd be amusingly and pleasantly surprised to realize one glorious morning he's ceded some of his or her authority (and a favourite armchair, at that!) to this smart, yet affectionate creature. AUREUS-Volga Cattery dates back to 2007 when Korsar Adamant (WCF World Champion since June 2009) became a family member. His origins combine two Russia's best lines - Eridan and Adamant. In early 2009 Krasimira Adamant joined the family to become, as it turned out later, an excellent mate breedwise for Korsar. Young that we are Korsar and Krasimira's progeny have become widely known in Russia's Kurilian Bobtails' breeding community thanks to their outstanding breeding qualities and exceptional show performance. |

This masterpiece was presented to WCH Korsar Adamant by Adamant Cattery which he came from on his 4th birthday. Thanks a lot to his breeder Elena Kofanova and Larisa Shkolnikova whose conception was so finely put into life by the gifted artist! |
